Stephanie Poole – Home School Curriculum Consultant I have been homeschooling since 2000, and over the years, I have eagerly given advice and encouragement related to curriculum options and homeschooling methods. Due to the sudden rise of new homeschool families, I am no longer able to offer free homeschool advice. However, I now offer specific service packages for purchase which allow me to assist families one-on-one. This enables me to give personalized attention and guidance during a scheduled appointment.

Consultant Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts in Education
Taught public school grades 5-8
Successfully taught four of my own children through high school and am still homeschooling two children.
Owner and operator of Homeschool Books For Less for over 20 years and am knowledgeable about publishers, learning styles, and educational philosophies
Effectively taught many other homeschool children in various settings since 2000
Experienced in guiding families to make solid curriculum choices without short-changing their children's education

Each Homeschool Consultation Includes:

A 60-minute consultation with Stephanie (In-person meetings are preferred, but phone call meetings are available).
Discussion of your specific homeschool concerns and needs.
A personalized curriculum recommendation list, suggestions where to purchase materials, and helpful information for your specific needs.
Two weeks of email support for any additional questions you have after our meeting.
*Consultations are non-refundable. Payment must be received prior to scheduling an appointment. One reschedule is permitted.

How to set up a consultation appointment:

Select and purchase a Homeschool Consultation Package. Each package is $45.
Upon purchase you will receive an email with instructions to book your appointment.
You will also receive a pre-consultation questionnaire. Please return no later than 48 hours before your appointment.

I am also not a legal expert and cannot provide homeschool-related legal advice. I can only provide a copy of your state’s homeschool law.

REFOCUS Advisement – If you have been homeschooling for several years and feel burned out, overwhelmed, in need of a change, or have a new circumstance which is changing the course of your homeschool journey, this package is for you. This package includes:

Encouraging resources for the weary
Curriculum recommendations
Strategies for students struggling in one or more subject areas
Reassessing short- and long-term goals
Time management suggestions

High School Guidance

HIGH SCHOOL Guidance– Homeschooling a highschooler can be intimidating, but you can do it! If you choose this package, I prefer that your student attend the meeting with you. This package includes:

Mapping out the high school years
Meeting graduation requirements
Setting short-term and long-term goals
Staying on track
Understanding a transcript (Note: I do not write transcripts)
Discussing future plans (Four-year college, tech school, entrepreneurship, entering the workforce).
Choosing or designing creative electives
Explaining GPA calculations and honor courses

MULTI-STUDENT Recommendations*– Most families only need one hour of assistance even if they have more than one child. Occasionally a family has a unique situation which requires a tailored educational plan for one specific child. If you need separate curriculum advice for more than one child, please add this service (which costs $15) to your cart.
